Gonorrhea


1. " Definition of Gonorrhea "

Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease (STD). It’s caused by infection with the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae. 
It tends to infect warm, moist areas of the body, including the:

# urethra (the tube that drains urine from          the urinary bladder)

# eyes

# throat

# vagina

# anus

# female reproductive tract (the fallopian            tubes, cervix, and uterus). 

Gonorrhea passes from person to person through unprotected oral, anal, or vaginal sex. 




2. " Causes of gonorrhea "

This STD comes from bacteria called Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
It’s spread through sex, but a man doesn’t have to ejaculate in order to pass it on to his partner.

You can get gonorrhea from any kind of sexual contact, including:

* Anal intercourse
* Oral intercourse (both giving and                        receiving)
* Vaginal intercourse


3. " Sign and Symptoms of gonorrhea "

4. " Prevention of gonorrhea 🤖 "

It doesn't spread as readily as the flue virus, or cold virus.

Individual can protect themselves from gonorrhea by adopting various preventive measures following are :-



1. Practice safer sex, use condoms 👱👐👩


2. Avoid multiple sexual partners 👬


3. Never share needles


4. Always use sterile needles


5. Drug treatment for gonorrhea infected mother during pregnancy


6. Gonorrhea affected mother should not feed milk to their babies👶



5. " Treatment of gonorrhea "


Gonorrhea is treated with Antibiotics. Sexual partners should also be treated. 

The mostly medication used are

1. Penicillin antibiotic
2. Antibiotics

Antibiotics is one of the most widely used and is usually effective in treating gonorrhea . 

If you have this STD, your doctor will likely prescribe two antibiotics: 

1. ceftriaxone and either azithromycin (Zithromax, Zmax) 

2. doxycycline (Monodox, Vibramycin). 

Ceftriaxone is given as a one-time injection -- usually a dose of 250 milligrams (mg). The other two antibiotics are taken by mouth.
